Vangeline is the main force. Vangeline has been collaborating with Akihito Ichihara. Ichihara performed for many years with Sankai Juku, and is continuing with them after the founder passed. Ichihara also has his own unit of young dancers, ELF. Vangeline and Ichihara perform Man Woman together October 12.
The festival this year has a theme honoring Latin American women in butoh, with Natalia Cuéllar from Chile, and Eugenia Vargas from Mexico who perform October 10 and 11.
