Martha Daghlian is the artist behind the Grapefruits Art Space, which we miss. The bright pink poppy website for Grapefruits parallels the aesthetics of Daghlian's own idea-driven art garments. Wabi Sabi Lobby is a show by Alika Cooper and Eric Wesley from LA. Wesley is known for converting an abandoned Taco Bell in St Louis into an art gallery, www.bortolamigallery.com. February 7-9 Moar Light!
The Portland Winter Light Festival is inspired by light festivals around the world and hometown DIY projects like the Light Bar. It's in its fourth year. So there are more events in locations beyond the OMSI center, including performances in the World Trade Center. It's big enough and dispersed enough that you can experience it over multiple evenings. It's child friendly and popular with families. Some installations are warm wood-burning fire. We may have snow and that will be beautiful!
