At age 15 Sadie Benning revieved the gift of a camera from her father James Benning, a noted experimental filmmaker.
With the Fisher Price PXL-2000, the Pixelvision, she made movies about her queer experience. The 1989 camera records lo-fi black and white video on audio cassettes.
Benning was acknowledged at a young age my the movie and art world. Later she founded Le Tigre.
