Larry Crane is a low-fi recording engineer and publisher of Tape-op originally with a DIY focus. He recorded some now famous people in his home studio. Then he busted out Jackpot Recording with his friend Elliot Smith who was a drywaller. They recorded together and Crane manages Smith's archive.
