August 20 Camera Obscura @ NAAU
The New American Art Union opens Ethan Jackson's Orbis Viridis Obscurus. A camera obscura is a room as simple camera with you inside. A lens gathers an image from outside and projects it upside down on a wall of the space. Jackson has divided the light with mirrors to rearrange the image to his liking. There aren't too many trees nearby, maybe the artist intends a fresh interpretation of camera obscura. The images are best seen in daylight.
