The Portland Japanese Garden was started in 1963 with the designs of Professor Takuma Tono. It's evolved to now by the guiding hands of eight subsequent garden curators. The current curator, Sadafumi Uchiama, has organized a conference of those garden curators to record their thoughts and philosophies. This will allow future curators an informed touch in the garden's evolution. Tonight the curators speak. At the Portland Art Museum www.pam.org 1219 SW Park. 7PM Reservations (503)542-0287 Free
