October 8 Andy Cherry Dive

Andy Warhol learned a lot from Robert Rauschenberg. While Rauschenberg had E.A.T. and world projects, Warhol had Interview, The Factory and happenings. While Rauschenberg's works were layered, Warhol's were boldly simple.

Portland is a print town from the work of Gordon Gilkey and the collection he seeded into the Portland Art Museum.

The Portland Art Museum opens a show of 250 Warhol prints collected by Portland's Jordan Schnitzer. They are arranged chronologically. Treat yourself to seeing the work in person and a unique art history experience. There are a series of events throughout the run including a several hour movie documentary about the artist.
