October 27 22 Floors

Artist Emily Wobb works the dynamics of our construction of big things: buildings, jetliners and cars, and their destruction. Perfect for ADX, maker central! Her website has a much more eloquent description - www.emilywobb.com/22floors. This show has an about 1/50th scale model of The Yard monolith, a geometric black residential tower designed by Skylab. It is fabricated from a previous project themed on suburban homes, that were subsequently distressed. The show also includes models of jetliners carrying wood chips from models of luxury suburban sport utility vehicles. Recommended. At adxportland.com ANX Gallery 1015 SE Stark 7PM-9 Free
