Portland Open Studios is a yearly event. Artists self-select, apply, are curated, are included in a guide and then open their studios. It is an opportunity to see what a working artist studio looks like, straightened up for guests.
In the past, you, the viewer and collector, paid a fee for a printed calendar and map to the studios, many in residences.
What is new is that there is a free app to guide you. There is an in-app upgrade if you want a map and images from the artists in your phone. Otherwise the images of artists works are on the Open Studios website. There is also a printed guide for sale - check their website.
