June 4 Cinema Project When Where
When Where: Landscape and the Frame as Metaphor is a Cinema Project outdoor showing, a rare and popular event marking Summer. It's a program of landscape art shorts by Kren, Steiner, Beydler, Richardson, Cho, & Breer, with readings by Portland poet David Abel. Films include Kurt Kren, 31/75 Asyl (Asylum) [Austria, 1975, 16mm, color, silent, 9 min.]; Thomas Steiner, Camping Cézanne [Austria, 2010, video, color, sound, 9 min.]; Gary Beydler, Pasadena Freeway Stills [USA, 1974, 16mm, color, silent, 6 min.]; Emily Richardson, Aspect [UK, 2004, 16mm, color, sound, 9 min.]; Seoungho Cho, Buoy [USA, 2008, video, color, sound, 7 min.] and Robert Breer, Fuji [USA, 1974, 16mm, color, sound, 8.5 min.].
