June 22 Edward Tufte on Information Design

Edward Tufte is in town for his one day seminar on presenting data and information so people "get it". Sometimes that's important. Tufte is professor emeritus at Yale where he developed and refined the ideas that became a series of some of the most noted, and beautiful, books in the field: The Visual Display of Quantitative Information, Envisioning Information, Visual Explanations: Images and Quantities, Evidence and Narrative and Beautiful Evidence. I've been to them. They are expensive, but include a set of his books. Entirely fascinating. Details www.edwardtufte.com/tufte/courses Location on registration. 9ish to 4ish. $380
