April 17 Impulse to Collect Lunch
Portland is a great photography town. Ampersand is a small business that contributes strongly to that. It is a photography bookstore and seller of found photographs, lost collections, and small press items. Ampersand also publishes books. Myles Haselhorst, Ampersand's founder gives a talk today: Photographic Abundance & the Impulse to Collect. He brings a thoughtful view on what it means to collect in a digital age and the meaning of romance for the chemical age of photography. Sponsored by the Portland Art Museum Photography Council. It's a brown bag lunch in the Miller Room (first floor to the right in the lobby of the former the Masonic temple) of the Mark Building. 1219 SW Park Noon Free
