April 19-20 The Marrow of Madness
Diego Piñón directs a performance Marrow within Madness, which, when you think about it, is a rich metaphor. Piñón is new world butoh performer from Mexico. He is known for psychodrama and landscape for inspiration. Dancers who work with him know the work is intense, yet his personal movement is restrained and calm, even perhaps more so than the late career work of another butoh former wild man, Min Tanaka. Piñón's performance includes a gifted group of movers: Sheri Brown (Seattle), Amelia Burns (Colorado), Mizu Desierto (Portland), Diana Garcia Snyder (Seattle), Lin Lucas (Seattle), Kat MacMillan (Portland), Christopher Mankowski (California), & Nathan Montgomery (Colorado), each with many years experience working with Senior Piñón and together. Produced by and tickets on sale at www.WITD.org. At the Headwaters Theater, 55 NE Farragut St. #9. The theater is in the back of the building by the active railroad tracks facing Winchell Street.
