Arnold J Kemp opens his show, When Will My Love Be Right, minimal sculpture of everyday objects and photographs of surfaces of aluminum foil. For this work, Kemp is inspired a ballad When Will My Love Be Right. The artist statement in the gallery is much more eloquent. Blue Sky has Vivian Maier: Out of the Shadows, from the Jeffrey Goldstein Collection. We had a long description of the photographer's work for a December show at Powell's. Recommended. The UofO has a decent school of landscape architecture in Eugene. In Portland, their gallery presents two landscape inspired artists: Claire Zitzow with Remains To Be Seen, and Dawn Roe with Goldfields. Zitzow is inspired by the landscape and human artifacts of the American Southwest. Roe works from the landscape and history of the area around Melbourne Australia. Croatian artist in Portland, Dunja Jankovic, moves drawing in a sculptural direction. In addition to her experimental illustrations she does animation.
