Lynn Hershman Leeson is a video artist. She is also the creator of the film !Women, Art, Revolution. The film traces groundbreaking artists beginning in the about 1968 to 2010 through interviews and archival materials. She shows and discusses the film this evening as part of University of Oregon media conference. The film is recommended and can be found online. It covers a huge number of artists, some painful episodes like the outrageous death of Ana Mendieta, whose continued work is missed, and brings the film up to date with artist Miranda July.
